ARKADELPHIA, AR, November 3, 2025: The Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance & Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors proudly announces its support for the Arkadelphia Public Schools Capital Improvement Project and the upcoming millage proposal that will allow the district to build a brand-new Arkadelphia High School.
The project represents a significant investment in the future of our community. With $19 million in state partnership funding already secured, the district now needs local support to unlock these funds and begin construction on a modern learning facility that will serve generations to come.
“Our schools are a cornerstone of our community and a key driver of local economic growth,” said Shelley Short, President & CEO of the Arkadelphia Alliance & Area Chamber of Commerce. “A new high school not only benefits our students, it strengthens our ability to attract new families, businesses, and workforce talent to Clark County.”
In addition to a new high school, the proposed improvements include a Fine Arts Auditorium, Career & Technical Education Center, Sports Arena, and a Multi-Use Covered Practice Facility. The total cost for construction is estimated at $62 million, with the district requesting an additional 3.0 mills to complete the project.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 18, and Early Voting begins Wednesday, November 12 at the Arkadelphia Recreation Center.
