ARKADELPHIA, AR, Aug. 21, 2025: The Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance and Area Chamber of commerce, in partnership with the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC), is pleased to announce that Alliance President & CEO, Shelley Short, has been elected as the Arkansas Alternate Director on the SEDC Board of Directors. Shelley will serve a one-year term beginning January 1, 2026.
SEDC represents the world’s leading economy builders serving in the American South, which today stands as the premier global investment location and the third-largest economy in the world. In just the last three years alone, SEDC members have facilitated nearly $600 billion in capital investment, resulting in more than 600,000 new American jobs.
