Three Clark County Manufacturers Featured in ‘Coolest Thing Made in Arkansas’ Super 16

ARKADELPHIA, AR, June 25, 2025: The Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that three Clark County manufacturers, Georgia Pacific, The J.M. Smucker Company (Hostess Brands), and Siplast, have advanced to the Super 16 round of the fourth annual ‘Coolest Thing Made in Arkansas’ competition. Presented by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/AIA and Arkansas Business, the contest celebrates The Natural State’s rich manufacturing history and highlights some of the amazing products manufactured in Arkansas.

Georgia Pacific was recognized for its high-quality lumber and plywood products that are sustainably harvested and produced in Arkansas. These versatile wood products are used in construction projects across the country and are even featured in eco-friendly, cutting-edge mass timber buildings.

The J.M Smucker Company’s Hostess Brands entered the competition with their delicious Donettes manufactured in a state-of-the-art bakery in Clark County’s Industrial Park. Introduced in the 1940s, Donettes have long been known for their irresistible flavor, satisfying sweetness, and are the #1 selling donut in America. This is Hostess Brands’ second consecutive year in the competition.

Joining them on the list is Siplast, honored for their pioneering Teranap Vegetated Waterproofing System, a premium solution for green roofing. Manufactured in Arkadelphia, Teranap provides superior waterproofing performance while supporting sustainable, vegetated rooftop installations across North America. Siplast also competed in last year’s contest, making this a back-to-back recognition for their innovative products.

“Having three products from our county featured in the Coolest Thing Made in Arkansas competition is a powerful testament to the innovation, quality, diversity, and pride that define our manufacturing community,” said Shelley Short, President & CEO of the Arkadelphia Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce. “We’re so proud to see these stellar businesses recognized on a statewide stage.”

These #ClarkCountyMade products will face off against thirteen others in a single-elimination bracket to determine the Coolest Thing Made in Arkansas. We encourage everyone to show your support for our Clark County manufacturers by voting for all three products at coolestthinginarkansas.com. You may vote up to once a day, per email address until Friday, July 11th.

Each winner will advance to the next round until the Featured Four is reached. This year’s winner will be announced on November 18, and the winning product will be highlighted by Arkansas Business and recognized at the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting this fall.

The Arkadelphia Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates Georgia-Pacific, Hostess Brands, and Siplast on this well-deserved recognition and wishes them continued success as they compete for the title of the Coolest Thing Made in Arkansas.
