The Alliance
Arkadelphia is a natural location for business development. Anchored by two universities, Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia is located at the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, on the Caddo River and Ouachita River and minutes from beautiful DeGray Lake State Park.
The Arkadelphia area includes the incorporated communities of Amity, Caddo Valley, Gum Springs, Gurdon, Okolona, and Whelen Springs. The area is ideally located and amply populated to support new and growing industries with a population of more than 350,000 within a 50-mile radius. Each year hundreds of new college graduates, trained blue collar workers and skilled laborers come from the halls of our two universities, community colleges, technical training centers and public school systems eager to enter the workforce. In addition, with the recent renewal of the 1/2 cent economic development incentive tax, Arkadelphia is destined for growth.
